TEHRAN AUTOPARTS is considered as an important opportunity for a healthy evaluation of the prospects in automotive sector, the increase of sector-specific export, the protection of market share, and the establishment of long term business connections. 
In 2008, the Fair was visited by 200.000 people and the fairground was 11.000 m• In 2009, 502 firms from 14 countries participated in the fair and the fairground was 21.000 m• The fair was publicized by employing billboards in the important and busiest streets of Tehran and Tabriz. Moreover, the fair ads were published in economy and automotive magazines. 


7th Iran international auto parts exhibition;

The international event aims to demonstrate various types of light and heavy vehicles, auto parts, spare parts and decoration equipment as well as after sales, technical and engineering services. 
Well-known foreign companies from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, China , Taiwan, South Korea, India, Turkey and Sweden have taken part in the international event in Tehran. 
Today, Iran is the 13th largest automaker in the world and one of the largest in Asia, with annual production of more than 1.6 million. In 2009 Iran ranked fifth in car production growth standing next to China, Taiwan, Romania and India. 
Iran’s automotive industry is the second most active industry of the country after its oil and gas industry, accounting for 10% of Iran's GDP. 
Iran Khodro and Saipa, Iran’s two largest carmakers, which together form the core of the country’s most profitable industry after oil and gas; the industry is still gaining profit despite sanctions unilaterally imposed on Iran by the European Union and the US. 
In February 2012, Peugeot, France’s largest automaker, decided to end relations with Iran, its largest foreign customer. Peugeot’s auto sales this year are down nearly a quarter of a million units, almost exactly the amount that Iran would have normally purchased. This has also resulted in 8,000 job cuts across France to compensate for the billions of Euros they’ve lost. According to unofficial reports, Peugeot officials are willing to make a comeback to the Iranian market but they say it takes time.
